Blidinje Bike Festival is a unique cycling experience that takes place during the last weekend of July in the Blidinje Nature Park. In 2025 we will witness the 7th edition of this festival, and the organizers have taken the event to a new level! Therefore, it is not surprising that the interest in participating is the highest ever.

In 2025, the Blidinje Bike Festival is included in the calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI) and gains the status of a UCI Class 1 event. In addition, the Balkan Championships will be held within the Blidinje Bike Festival 2025, where athletes from 12 countries of the Balkan Federation will compete for the title of Balkan Champion.

2.3. TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION

Travel and accommodation expenses to and from Blidinje Nature Park must be covered by the National Federations or event participants in case they come individually.

Nearest airports are: Mostar International Airport (distance 90km); Sarajevo Airport (distance 110 km); Dubrovnik Airport (distance 210 km)

All participants must hold a valid passport or identity card.

Visa obligations must be respected.
Each Federation is responsible for obtaining documents for their delegation appropriate entries.

Please keep in mind that accommodation facilities in the Blidinje Nature Park are motels and private apartments. If you want to reserve hotel accommodation, you will need to look for accommodation outside Blidinje Nature Park, in cities such as Mostar or Široki Brijeg.

2.10. RIDERS SAFETY ON THE ROADS

    • The course will be fully marked for an unofficial training session on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

    • Please note that in certain sections, the course crosses asphalt roads located above the main road. We strongly recommend extra caution in these areas.

    • Riders on Saturday are training at their own risk;

    • On Sunday, during the race on the track, there will be stewards directing you on the course and ensuring your safety, along with police patrols on the main roads of the Blidinje Nature Park.

    • Please make sure you have your ID with you and light when you are outside the venue, on public road.

5.1. MEDIA CENTRE

Media and photographers accreditation’s can be collected during the opening hours of the race office.

7. EVENT SPECIFIC REGULATIONS

7.1. GENERAL RULES

    • UCI Class 1 XCM Herzegovina race is organised by the Association Herzegovina Bike and Cycling federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    • The event will be organised in accordance with rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and these rules will be the reference for everything that is not mentioned in the current document.

    • The UCI Class 1 XCM Herzegovina race consists of an MTB marathon race, scheduled for July 27, 2025.

    • UCI Class 1 XCM Herzegovina race is open to individual riders and National teams, license holders of their National Federation.

    • The “XCM Herzegovina” race is open to individual riders for Non-Elite categories with or riders without license.

    • The individual riders without a UCI license will be part of the Amateur category.

Rewards

    • Medals for the first 3 men and medals for the first 3 women will be awarded.

    • The prize fund for the “UCI Class 1 XCM Herzegovina“ race is awarded according to the UCI regulations.

    • For the other categories that compete in the “XCM Herzegovina” race (small track), merchandise prizes are guaranteed.

7.2. TYPE OF THE EVENT 

"UCI Class 1 XCM Herzegovina" (long track 83.69 km) is open to drivers from the following categories:

    • Woman Elite
    • Men Elite

Note: UCI Class 1 "XCM Herzegovina" is open only to Elite categories. All non-Elite cyclists who want to register for the race can do so at:

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 6:00 PM, a briefing for riders or team support is scheduled at the Visitor Center of Blidinje Nature Park, with the presence of members of the judging panel.

10. ANTIDOPING CONTROLS

The antidoping regulations of the Agency for Anti-Doping Control of Bosnia and Herzegovina are entirely applicable to the event. The antidoping tests will take place at the antidoping station located in: Blidinje SKI Center.

11. PENALTIES

The UCI penalty scale is the only one applicable.

12. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Organiser and Cycling federation Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot, in any case, be held responsible in the event of accidents or material damage which may occur during official training and / or competitions.

The Organiser and Cycling federation Bosnia and Herzegovina decline any responsibility towards the riders, accompanying persons and thirdparties in the event of an accident.

In all cases not provided for in the specific regulations, the UCI regulations will be applicable.
